The Pretender Episode Guide
A trip down memory lane.
Episode Guide | Lifeline
One of the most rewarding opportunities ‘The Pretender’ presented to the writers, producers and actors involved was the diversity of subject matter that we could delve into. One week a murder mystery on a battleship with naval overtones, the next Jarod in the Mob, the week after he’s a Gigolo. It was a great challenge that never allowed anyone to get artistically stale. And so was the case with ‘LIFELINE’.
Jarod as a bodyguard protecting a money launderer, while secretly trying to help his girlfriend, gave us a whole new arena to play in; action and intrigue. But it wasn’t just in the Jarod storylines where the diversity took place; the Centre players also were thrust into innumerable situations and in this episode, the world of religion and choices we make in life. Who would have thought one of Miss Parker’s former boyfriends would become a priest or that a psycho like Mr. Raines would ever visit one searching for salvation. The stories always kept us on our toes and ‘LIFELINE’ is a great example of that diversity.
