Episode Guide | Red Rock Jarod
Season 2
Red Rock Jarod
We love this episode for a lot of reasons.
First it’s mainly just our principal characters playing off each other, everyone in top form. Second, it’s full of plot turns and series turns that work well, and last, it’s a tight story, that’s scary, sad, touching and exhilarating.
This one is likened to ‘Past Sim’ in many ways, in that it had all of the above, as well as, was directed by Fred and written by Tommy — something that was always a good combination. Two characters you thought were dead, Lyle and Kyle, aren’t. Miss Parker is having dreams about killing Lyle and Jarod thinks he’s coming to meet Sydney, since it’s their secret code that is luring him in, only to confront (in some damn fine moments) a desperate Lyle, who wants back into the Centre fold and will stop at nothing to get back there. It’s one of those full-baked stories where all the paths meet up at the end and even in the very last scene, there is an emotional turn you don’t see coming, that being when Jarod has donated his dead brother’s heart to the deputy’s son to save a life.
One to be especially proud of.
In the scene where the Deputy’s son collapses, one of the young ladies trying to help him, is none other than Lindsay Thompson, daughter of Executive Producer Tommy Thompson.
